Live gas fees on 7 chains, in dollars
Gas in gwei is hard to read, so this tracker turns it into what you'll actually pay: a transfer, a token send, an approval, a swap or an NFT mint on each chain. It refreshes every 30 seconds and sorts the cheapest chain first.

What this tool checks, and how
Where the numbers come from
Each chain's public RPC node reports the current gas price (eth_gasPrice) and the latest block's base fee. CoinGecko (or DefiLlama as a fallback) supplies the native token price.
How costs are estimated
Typical gas units: 21,000 for an ETH transfer, about 65,000 for a token send, 46,000 for an approval, 120,000 for an NFT mint and 180,000 for a DEX swap. Complex routes can use more.
Layer 2 caveat
On Base, Arbitrum and Optimism you also pay a small L1 data fee that isn't in eth_gasPrice, so real L2 costs can be a little higher than shown.
Swap on the cheapest chain
ChainHop finds the best route on 7 EVM chains from Discord and shows gas before you sign. Swaps include a 1% fee.
Gas tracker questions
Not financial advice. Automated checks can be wrong; always verify on a block explorer.
