How it works

What this tool checks, and how

The units

1 ETH = 109 gwei = 1018 wei. 1 SOL = 109 lamports. 1 BTC = 108 satoshis. Tokens choose their own decimals, which the raw-amount decoder handles.

Exact maths

The converter uses JavaScript BigInt, so 18-decimal values never lose precision the way floating-point calculators do.

Fiat values

Live prices come from CoinGecko (DefiLlama and Coinbase exchange rates as a fallback) and refresh every few minutes. They're indicative, not a quote.

How many wei are in one ETH?
1,000,000,000,000,000,000 (1018). One gwei is 1,000,000,000 wei (109).
How many gwei are in one ETH?
One billion (109). Gas prices are quoted in gwei, so 20 gwei is 0.00000002 ETH per unit of gas.
How many lamports are in one SOL?
One billion (109). Solana fees are charged in lamports: the base fee is 5,000 lamports per signature.
Why does my token show a huge number on the block explorer?
Explorers sometimes show the raw integer. Divide by 10 to the power of the token's decimals, or paste it into the raw-amount decoder above.
